My goodness. When living there I remember the Snoqualmie would flood almost every year. An inch a day.. that's amazing. Stay high my friend!

Here in the South Sound: Tuesday 3 inches; Wednesday 1+ inch; today; midnight to 10 am 1.4 inch and it is still raining buckets.

There are detours but they can't handle a lot of traffic. When I looked last night, US30 on the Oregon side of the river also had closures. Freight traffic was being directed up the east side of the Cascades.There were other closures in NW Oregon.

It has been downright nasty, we are so glad we moved away from the coast. As it is, we are getting extremely mild weather here in south central BC, right now it is 6C over 40F.

Hwy #2 is open again as is I-5. 12 across white pass is still closed and may be until spring.

A day of reprieve here on the Island. Had it rained 1 more day this Island would have floated.

And in Oregon.....101 closed at Tillamook.....Bayview....Hehalem. 22 closed from Grand Ronde to Hebo. The road to Cape Lookout was closed. Here in Lincoln City...had 5.5 inches of rain in 24 hours Sunday to Monday...then and 1.5 the next day and 3.3 the day after that. From Thursday morning till now(Friday am) we have had 1.80. "D" River day used closed due to 35' high waves....Devil's Lake State Park closed due to high water.

So glad to be here in sunny AZ! Sorry for my family slogging it out in WA, though. My daughter's office parking lot is flooded and many roads are closed. There will no doubt be more mudslides as the rain persists. :(

You are welcome. The Blog is showing that they opened one lane northbound on I-5 about an hour ago. Woodland was a parking lot most of the day... I mean the whole town. Nothing was able to move to go anywhere. Hopefully they have a plan in place to allow those semi's stuck in the Wal-mart parking lot to get out on I-5 smoothly.
