I have said it before and I will say it again, do not go thru Atlanta. Use US-27 instead. Many will say they do not have trouble going straight thru or around the perimeter. They are extremely lucky. Why stress yourself out when you can have a pleasant trip thru western Georgia from Chattanooga to Tallahassee!! Lots to see and do. Lots of nice caampgrounds along the route. You can jump back over to I-75, if you need to, from Columbus to Albany to Tifton.
Agree 100%. My route thru GA is US441. Much more pleasant of a ride. Some day I may do 27. I will put up with the stop lights and little towns over the insanity of I-75 and the experience of going thru ATL. Did it one time and I will not do it again. - rwessExplorerI have said it before and I will say it again, do not go thru Atlanta. Use US-27 instead. ever try tr 77?
starting from Indiana/Ohio line - 77 is too far east. - IvylogExplorer IIIDo not drive around Atlanta, go straight through non rush hours. With the rains this weekend the fires are out or 100 percent contained and not close to I-75.

- RGar974417ExplorerHave fun driving around Atlanta. If you are looking for a stop over, High Falls State Park Riverside Campground isn't too far off I-75. They have water and electric hookups, many pull off sites and laundry.
