Oil in purto vallarta

Hi ... Does anyone know if walmart or mega
Sell motor oil in Pv ?...cheers nick
  • That's funny, because I've been buying familiar brand names for years now in just about any large supermarket all over the country. Sometimes they might not have the right viscosity, so you'll have to try another store or auto supply, but I've been using Quaker State or Castrol bought down here since 2006. By the way, I'm a retired dealership mechanic (35 yrs) RYV
  • If you have any late model vehicle, gas or diesel , the oil carried in supermarkets or Pemex DO NOT meet current standards. I would not use them in any of my vehicles. Costco carries some that are US made but not the correct viscosity. Most auto dealers carry USA oil . Don't be fooled by the brand names sold on the roadside. NONE of them are suitable for late model vehicles. Like Mexwanderer stated any Cat or Kenworth dealer will carry 15/40 diesel oil. You will pay dearly. Oil filters for many PU diesels are hard to come by. Delo does have distributors across Mexico and they carry USA oils.

  • Oil AVERAGES

SEVEN DOLLARS US per quart down here.

If you cannot find a particular grade of diesel lube oil, new truck dealerships, Caterpillar or Cummins dealerships carry it.
  • Yes they do as does nearly every Pemex and Large Grocery Stores such as Soriana ,and of course Costco!
You may find there is more single weight than multi grade in Dino Oil ,the synthetics are multigrade .

The price of Oil is quite a bit higher in Mexico than in Canada or. The USA!
