Considering the same route and was wondering about campgrounds, will reservations be needed or can we travel at our leisure.
I live just off 101 if you don't make reservations at the State Parks you will in all probability not get a sight. As stated above these State parks fill up very early. Some times a year in advance is needed and even that is an iffy thing. I know folks that when they leave the park they make reservations for the next year on the way out. There is lots to see and lots of folks travel the coast. So plan ahead keep the speed down and you will have a grand time on the coast. Make sure you stop in at Bandon see the light house and enjoy the local ambiance. Ocean drive is spectacular.
