Overnight Stops Heading For Maine

We are leaving Friday heading for Bar Harbor Maine. We are planning on stopping twice, once in NY along I90 in the area of Syracuse, and somewhere in Maine along I95 to make a short day Sunday into Bar Harbor. I would like any recommendations for overnight stops. A campground with inexpensive no hookup overnight rates, or good safe truck stops or rest areas. Some states post no overnights in rest areas, so I don't know if that is allowed in these areas.

Any help would be appreciated.

    We've used the Flying J Travel Plaza in Corfu, NY (just outside Buffalo) before. ST

    Has anyone stayed in a service plaza in NY on I90? There is activity all night anyway. I wonder though about the time stamps on and off the tollway, if that would flag a problem. Web sites I've found list NY rest areas as overnight allowed in emergency. What constitutes an emergency? I can't keep my eyes open anymore....

    NO show (that is what I initially thought) however just no kids. I meant to suggest Bailey's campground if you have kids.

    You can always stop/stay in Freeport Maine in the RV lot (free). Food/dining and shopping within walking distance. Then about 3-3 1/2 hours to BH depending on where you are staying.

    Exit 26 would be too far east. I said Syracuse, but really it should have been west of Syracuse, probably closer to Rochester.

    You also had me wondering when you said adult only camping. I wondered what kind of show we might see???? But I guess it would be a duck show.

    If you don't need hookups and just need a place to overnight, I would suggest Turning Stone Casino in Rome/Verona area. They have a lot of parking area and can overnight there.

    May I suggest Arrow Head campground outside of Glenville, Just off Exit 26 on I-90 (http://arrowheadmrvp.com/). Second stop suggestion is in Scarborough Wild Duck Adult campground if you do not have kids with you (http://wildduckcampground.com/index.html) or Baileys (http://www.bayleys-camping.com/). From ArrowHead campground to Scarborough should take you about + or - six or seven hours. Hope this helps.
