Parking for Alaska cruise

I am planning a trip for next July and I would like to include a stop in Seattle and a cruise to Alaska. I am looking at a 7 day cruise out of Seattle and would like to ask if anyone has any idea as to where I could park my truck and FW while on the cruise.

  • The Smith cove cruise terminal Pier 91 has Rv parking with shuttle service to cruise terminal. You need to have a reservation for RV parking however.i
  • Thanks for all the information. I'm also considering flying into Fairbanks, taking the ground tour and then cruise back to Vancouver. OR, cruise out of Vancouver and then fly back from Fairbanks. This is a longer cruise and means that I would need to park somewhere in Vancouver. By the way, I found a C2C resort near Seattle, in Fall City ( Tall Chief Resort) where they will allow dry storage at reasonable rates ( $25 week, $75 month). Its an $85 one way Limo charge to cruise line. If we decide to go out of Seattle, we will do that.

2 years ago my wife and I towed our 5er out to Seattle and went on an Alaska cruise and parked our truck and 5er in the cruise line parking lot, it was a reasonable fee and very convenient. We pulled right up to the terminal dropped off the wife and bags, she stood in line while I went and parked trailer and walked less than a football fields distance back to get in line with my wife. literally could have thrown a rock from the ship and hit trailer. Parking lot is right at the terminals and has security and is fenced, had NO problems, just reserve a parking spot when you book your tickets (they will need your length) have a great time.

Based on your description, I think you might be talking about a dock that was a tempory location and has since has been closed? They have moved to Bell Street Pier and Smith Cove (Pier 90/91).

So to the OP, if you are at Bell Street, there is barely parking for cars, nevermind an RV. If you are at Smith Cove, there is a much better chance of parking on site.

Either way, contact your cruise line and get a reservation!
  • Oops: the waterfront thoroughfare is "Alaskan Way" not "Elliott Way".
  • After sending the above here is more info from a local:

Norwegian docks at Pier 91 north of the ferry landing on Elliot Way on the waterfront. This thoroughfare is congested and very cramped for towing a trailer/5th wheel. Princess and Celebrity tie up at Smith Cove to the north near Golden Gardens. All of these facilities are accessed off of I-5 from the east from Mercer Ave. through the edge of downtown, from the south along Old 99 through the congested viaduct/tunnel construction site on the waterfront, or from the north on 15 Ave. W which becomes Elliott Way along the waterfront. As I said above, I cannot imagine pulling my outfit through any of these areas.

okiejoe was able to park his rig in an adjacent, safe parking area during his cruise. More power to him. Check with your cruise line about this. If that is an option that's great, but be aware that it will not be a piece of cake getting from I-5 to there.

If that is not an option for you I like the post from the guy in Minnesota recommending Lake Pleasant RV Park in Bothell. I would contact them. If you exhaust those options you are welcome to PM me for other ideas. I wouldn't be surprised if other Washingtonians chime in once I post this.

That's sounds like the ticket. For such a convenience I would verify it with the cruise line before planning on doing so because depending upon which location the ship is docked, I doubt that this type of parking arrangement would be available. (I cannot imagine driving my set-up along the Seattle waterfront.)

  • Can you post or send private message a link for the other forum you mentioned.
We are looking at the same or similar cruise for this summer.
    Thanks!
