PEI Prince Edward Island RV parks

KOA Cornwall near Charlottetown has water front sites on a tidal river. The water front sites are big, senic and pull through with full service. Not close to the island beaches but close to lots of history and restaurants.

Vacationland RV Park has water view sites. It is near the beaches and fisherman's wharfs on the north shore. More remote but keep in mind that the island is small and it's only a short drive to almost anything you want to do.

PEI is a great spot for golf. The weather keeps everything green and soft.

There are multiple world class courses from top designers and then you can also find nine holes in a cow pasture. Prices for golf are a relative bargin for some of the courses with the most expensive costing around $100 per person, cart included, for an afternoon round and you can likely find a fun nine hole for maybe $12.00 to $15.00 for a play all day package.

The roads are anything but world class. They are not dangerous but are a little rough and narrow and you are likely to get stuck behind a farm tractor for a short way, even on main highways. Be patient as there are no real passing zones. The farmers rarely go far and will pull over to let traffic pass when they can.

Any of the campgrounds mentioned here are great. Roll the dice and pick one, make advance reservations, park your rig and use your street vehicle to get around. Don't forget to get some fresh lobster.

We'll be in PEI in two weeks and we reserved at Sunset Campground in Cavendish Beach. It looks like a great campground and iy was recommended by someone on this forum.

Wish I could remember where we stayed a few years ago-it was a great place with an incredible water view. I'd start doing some checking to make sure there's availability-short season may mean things are full as it's peak camping time there.
