- joloooteExplorerIf u bypass Flagstaff without driving the Sunset craters & Ancient indian ruins Scenic drive u'r missing ALOT!
- zigzagrvExplorerWe've stayed overnight a couple times at the Cracker Barrel in Flagstaff, with permission, of course. No problems.
- cannesdoExplorerThanks for the ideas. I don't want to get too far from Flag. as the temps rise as you drop down into the desert. I mostly just don't want to deal with finding and checking in somewhere as it will be late. Just want to pull over and go back and crash. I found a Conoco station with a lot of space around it and spaces for trucks just north of Flag. so I think I'll give that a try. There is another station in Winona that has a large parking lot next to it.
- JanssExplorer IIThere's also Bonito campground just off Hwy 89 outside the entrance to Sunset Crater NM....if you don't make it east of Flagstaff. Nice forest service campground, though not free.
- TyroneandGladysExplorerDo not know how far you want to go past Flagstaff but Dancing Eagle Casino RV park in NM is about 270 miles and $10.00 full hookups.
- rreynold51ExplorerWe like Crater Lake RV park. Just a short distance past Flagstaff and still high enough that it was cool in the evening. Great hosts and large pull thru spots.
- tonyandkarenExplorerTwin Arrow Casino is good. We've stayed there. There's also a nice, free campground near Winslow if you go just a little farther - https://freecampsites.net/#!2800&query=sitedetails
- 2gypsies1Explorer IIIKeep in mind that there's a city ordinance against overnighting in Flagstaff itself.
There's a rest area on I-40 east of Flagstaff at Meteor Crater, Exit 230..don't know if you can overnight there. - 2oldmanExplorer IIThe Twin Arrows area (east of Winona) looks promising on a google map sat view look. Looks like some kind of pull off area south of the freeway. The Arrow sports bar is huge with a parking lot to match.
