89 thru Lassen Park is doable with your rig, not enjoyable. Road is narrow, curvy, few large turnouts, and a lot of summer traffic.
I would take 89 to Lake Almanor, east on 36 to the small historic logging town of Westwood, north on County Rd A-21,to 44, then to Manzanita Lake. All good easy road for your rig. You will also see the access to other parts of the Park, like Butte Lake and Cinder Cone, and pass by the Subway Cave in the community of Old Station.
