There are massive forest fires burning currently in the Williams Lake to 100 Mile House area, which is south of Prince George on Hiway 97. They don't appear to be slowing down any right now but by the first week in August, we sure hope they are. So in planning, it is probably a better shot to go east from Prince George, rather than south.
