garmin
A friend has asked me to ask on the forum..she bought a new Garmin which works great in the USA but not here in Mexico does she need to buy a chi or can she get it off the internet thanks les

What I had done was found Zertuche on my Streets & Trips and then Google Earth and GE Street View to confirm what I was looking for. I then entered the Lat Lon in the Garmin to get the location. The picture I had came from Google Earth. I often takes several tools to find the correct location in Mexico. Our dash computer hard drive quit working a few days ago so I have no dash Streets & Trips so even with the Garmin we seem to be lost without of Streets & Trips. I will get a new Solid State Hard Drive and install it as soon as we get back to AZ. I am so used to being able to see where we are going and searching the big picture with S&T I find anything else lacking. The new Garmin is great and we are glad we have it in the car but in some techno areas the Garmin can't compete with S&T. Personal opinion of course - having use both extensively.
