Here – once again – is what I am asking – can anyone find the law the clarifies and specifically addresses the definitions of terms or whatever that show up somewhere in some law or regulation in the country of Mexico that further defines the statement found on Page 22 of the mentioned document that the border people seem to be using as a reason to prevent tourists recreational vehicles from entering Mexico.
I am not asking for OPINIONS. I am clearly asking for folks out there to try to find websites that clarify this matter. I am asking for departments of the government and the web addresses where this law is very clearly defined as it applies to recreational vehicles.
I have searched and searched and Googled and Googled and posted here everything I have found with many many websites to delve further into to attempt to find a way to clear this up so that owners of recreational vehicles wanting to visit Mexico will not be turned back at the border. I know what the law as we know it at this point says. I am trying to find a way to resolve this. I am asking you other folks on this forum to help the people this pertains to so they can enter Mexico without the current hassle.
I completely understand what is being said but what I am trying to do is find a way that something can be done to allow recreational vehicles to enter Mexico without being prevented due to this law.
Is there a person or department out there to contact and get this thing resolved in writing so that people can enter Mexico with their recreational vehicles.
Please please please provide very specific web addresses and preferably individuals who have authority within the government of Mexico who can get this thing resolved.
I am well aware of what people out there on this forum think and/or believe. That is not helping to resolve the problem. If you are giving up then give up and please stop offering personal OPINIONS if you do not have your source in the government of Mexico where this has all be clarified. Thank you.
I am by no means qualified to translate Spanish into English but here is at least some idea of what the law states. I do think what is said could be interpreted in many ways. And I also think there is someone somewhere in the government of Mexico who can set this thing straight and get it clarified as it applies to any and all recreational vehicles and all the specific details that might apply.
Restrictions on vehicles that may be temporarily imported:
Vehicles having a maximum load capacity of up to three and a half tonnes of weight (3 and 1/2 tonnes equivalent to 7716.17 pounds).
Vehicles reported as stolen, damaged, restricted or prohibited for circulation in the United States of America or Canada.
Vehicles with property titles where any of the conditions described in the following table are agreed, can not be temporarily imported into the national territory:
This then goes on to a chart of types of vehicles that cannot enter Mexico and it is in English for some reason so you can read it there if you want – it does not mention anything pertaining to any type of recreational vehicle or pickup truck.
