Again on Chevrolet websites now – I looked for weight ratings. Though they do use the letter designation in the definition explanations on their website they use other terms here in some cases. But there are assumption we might make.
Here again is the question. What does “Capacidad de Carga” mean exactly. US vehicles have something called GCWR which is the combination (“C”) of the truck and trailer weights. Is that what Mexico means by the term “Carga” ? Or is it that they are seeing the letter “C” and thinking it means “Carga” when it means something else by US definition? Would this be confusing? Is this confusing?
If the guys at the border think GCWR means the same as Carga then they will see a very high number on many trucks. This could be the reason they turn people away.
So here are a couple of Chevrolet pickups and some idea of their weight ratings.
