I've never been asked to show status afer 32 years. If I did, I would ask for them to call an immigration officer which would never happen because they'd get fed up with me.
I have legal rights here in Mexico and the support of Human Rights organizations. (I'm sure you'll poo poo all of this though)
Do you have a rule or law that speaks to that?
