In the meantime I highly advise anyone with 3/4 or 1 ton pickups to first get permits on line, then use Nogales to cross where we know people are not having issues with either trucks or Truck Campers. Over the last 2 days I have had reports of 2 people turned back at other Texas crossings besides Laredo. one with a an E350 van and the other with a 3/4 ton & Truck Camper. I have heard of no refusals at Nogales and have had peoeple tell me they got through with no issue. The highway BTW, is washed out between Laredo & Monterrey, and 57D bteeen Queretaro & the Arco Norte is severely damaged and tough to drive.
Have people had success in getting a 10-year, RV tip on line through Banjercito for a truck camper? I have tried twice to get one at K21 below the Nogales crossing and were denied because it wasnt a true "RV", in their estimation.
If people have had success, how recently? I know when the 10 year TIP first appeared 10-15 years ago, that people got them for truck campers. But what about in the last 2-3 years?
Doesnt Banjercito request the license plate number of the truck camper? Most, if not all, states do not issue license plates for truck campers.
