Revelstoke BC to Whistler

Thinking of traveling from Revelstoke to Whistler taking hwy1 across to 99. Pulling a 32ft fiver. Is this a good route? Problems? Thanks.
  • When do you plan to go? I traveled 99 south from the 97 junction once in winter, sure won't try that again. It is definitely doable with your rig in the summer but as mentioned there are substantial grades to deal with particularly at Mt Currie.
  • You'll find more discussion on this on the Canada section.

99 from Lillooet to Whistler has substantial grades. It's a paved forest service road. It was gravel when I first drove it in 1984. Tour busses drive it. But you need to be confortable with major down grades.
