I guess the asphalt is always smoother on the other side.
The road wasn't that good coming down, in fact about in the worse condition we had driven in 12 years. Now, the other side (northbound) looked better. How much worse than southbound could it be?
Should travellers allow more time to get to San Carlos for instance?
How fast are people driving? OR is it construction at low speed that is causing the flats and "debris"?
There are approx 8 units leaving San Fernando this weekend, should they be warned? Alas road safety has taken on a new meaning. Tom
On edit; the Maz bypass is smooth concrete. About 46 peso's for a car. Still working on ramps, or should be;have to get going the wrong way for a bit and pull a U turn. Off ramps terribly marked, around Maz one can exit at Cerritos, free 15 into Maz, and Villa Union.
