road construction on I-64 through Louisville, Ky

Question

I am heading east on I-64 next week I heard there was a lot of road work at Louisville  has any one been through there lately,  I was wandering if I should take the loop around to the south it looks like a long way around there.

Pick your times and you should be OK. We came thru there in late May on a Saturday morning around 8am and had no problems. Avoid rush hours. According to Google maps traffic data when we went thru, there was more congestion on the bypass loop than on the main road.

I never go through there even in a 4 wheeler.
