Road trip to Alaska article in paper
Hi -- we're half preparing to possibly go to Alaska next summer or the summer after. Today's newspaper had this article LINK (when it asks you if you want to subscribe, just click on "not now").........

Sounds like he is getting way off the Alcan. Maybe getting into some pretty rough stuff. And towing a large heavy boat, could really beat the boat trailer up.
So maybe extra leaf springs etc are a good idea, as it sounds again where he goes is rougher than the Alcan.
Alcan itself to me is no big deal, but I took tools, duct tape, grease etc. And
sure did have the rig checked out before we left.
As for fuel pump and filter, why not they are small, and if the fuel pump goes you are doa. Can't hurt I guess
