I drove 138 from Roseburg to Diamond Lake where we camped for a few days. Day tripped to Crater Lake. Lots of waterfalls on or just off 138. Hope you have time to see some of them.
Nothing alarming comes to mind about the route.
There is an exit for 138 off I-5. Would have to look at the map to get the #.
