- DrewEExplorer IIShould be fine. There are a few towns (with intersections) you go through, but nothing horrible. It's used by trucks. I don't know exactly where in Burlington you're coming from, but maneuvering around the city with an RV could get a little interesting at times. From North Beach, North Ave. to Battery St. to Main Street and straight where it joins with Route 2 is one reasonable route that shouldn't be too difficult.
For the first part until around Montpelier, it will be easier and quicker and no less scenic to travel on I-89. The two roads are parallel there, often literally right next to each other.
If you're in the Burlington area in the summer and like baseball, a Lake Monsters game (minor league) at Centennial Field is a lot of fun. Centennial Field is one of the oldest ballparks in regular use by a professional team, and arguably (depending on how you define things like regular use, etc.) the oldest one. - BillMFlExplorerI drive the eastern leg from St Johnsbury on to Maine sometimes. Its 2 lane and a bit slow but woodsy and pleasant. Mt Washington area is worth a visit if you haven't been there.
- loggenrockExplorerHowdy - you do realize that Lincoln, NH, is not on Rte 2, right? From Montpelier, VT you could run Rte 302 to Woodsville, NH, then the scenic NH 112 east to Lincoln. ST
- lbrjetExplorerI have traveled rt 2 and it was no problems.
