Route 64 from 81 to Virginia Beach

Roads are OK. Good chance of backups after Williamsburg. My opinion, no convenient place to fuel up east bound after Exit 227 if you are pulling a trailer.

We often take I81 to I66 to US17 to I95 to I295 then either I64 or continue to US460. We take 460 when we guess we might encounter backups at the tunnel on 64. If you get to the tunnel before 3 you should be ok.

Fair from Charlottesville to Richmond, road widening west side of Richmond but nothing major. Check Virginia 511 web.

I went to Kings Dominion last week. I took 81S to 17. One huge hill at the beginning that the Libby didn't like. Just a suggested alternate.
