Yes. Fort Wayne to I-57 and I-55 in Illinois. Once all the way to Quincy, then through Missouri to Mexico.
No problem, if no sections of the road are detoured. Fort Wayne to Logansport is four-lane divided, bypassing most towns, and so far not much build-up on the bypasses. West of Logansport is two-lane with limited passing opportunities, slow traffic in small towns, and lots of truck traffic when grain is being moved around between fields, elevators and ethanol plants.
If they've closed a section of two-lane for reconstruction, or rebuilding a bridge (a lot of that lately) it can be a problem. In the past two years I've encountered long detours twice between Logansport and Watseka. The detours are not much fun because there aren't many roads that can handle detoured truck traffic, and you may go 30 miles to get around a two to five mile closed section. Last summer my detour got detoured. So check Indiana and Illinois for planned closures, before choosing a route.
Assuming you mean US-24, not Indiana 24.
