Found it, thanks! It's a little awkward on my phone, but found it.

Reading the info there, it sounds like the locations are posted by users who consider a gas station as RV friendly. So, basically, these are subjective. It doesn't give any real standards that I could find:

"Our users have reviewed these stations as friendly for recreational vehicles (RV's), motorhomes, campers, fifth wheels, trailers, etc. We've compiled this information in one map as a resource for you. If you visit a station that is RV friendly, please review it in the app to let other GasBuddies know or submit it via the link under the map. Thanks and happy travels!"

These are definitely subjective. I live near Walt Disney World so I checked out that area. One of the "RV Friendly" stations is the Speedway across from Disney Springs on Buena Vista BLVD. The traffic in that area alone is enough to make it non-RV friendly and I am very familiar with that station. While you may be able to get a small to medium trailer in there, I would definitely NOT consider it an RV friendly station.

Scroll down past 2 categories and a commercial to "gasbuddy news" then swipe left twice to find RV Friendly Gas Stations.

  • Here is a web site that I use to locate gas stations that I can get into and out of when I am on the road. (It lists both Diesel and gas). I have a 34ft. Class A Motorhome and I tow a 2014 Honda CR-V. This web site has served me well to find those stations that will accommodate my rig. Once you type in your information then you click on the link to whatever station you want to see, scroll down the page and you get a visual look to see if you can fit. I generally try to locate stations that have parallel pumps to the street if I am not at a Flying J with RV lanes.

  • I looked up about 7 Flying J that have RV Lanes and they were all on the list.
  • Overnight parking? Geeze, I just want to find one I can get in and out of. Last trip out in Ohio it took 3 exits to find one I could get in and out of. My TT is 37 ft. and the TV is about 20 ft. Hard to find any that I can maneuver in.
  • The rv friendly may mean that they have overnight rv parking available.

Considering I use Gas Buddy for diesel, I have found that, wherever diesel is sold, except for maybe only a couple instances in several years now, we've never had problems navigating those fuel stations.

The term "RV friendly?" What exactly does that mean anyway? If it means gas pumps readily accessible for RVs (of any sort), then I see where this would be helpful. But for diesel consumers, the diesel app works very well too as far as accessibility. (easy in-easy out) (Most of the time).

Regardless... Gas Buddy is an great tool!
