RV trip from Orange County, CA to Seattle, WA

Hello folks,

Looking for some advice. We will be taking a three week trip from So Cal to Seattle, WA leaving around June 17. We will stop in Bend, OR. We have never been in No CA, Oregon, or WA. So, this will all be new. I have 3 kids (17, 14, 12). Looking for suggestions on things to do. Our plan is pretty much to blast as far North as fast as we can and spend some time in OR and WA and work our way home. Probably stop in San Fran on the way home.

Need camp ground suggestions, any must see sights, restaurants, theme parks, etc.

Wide open, so any suggestions welcome!

  • Seattle, Olympia, 101 to Astoria. Kids and parents will love the Maritime Museum and the riverfront trolly. From there there are many parks along the coast starting with Ft Stevens. Many parks, towns, water along the coast. From there you wind up in the Redwoods. After SF you can take PCH as far as you want with more coast or PCH north of SF. Santa Cruz down to Monterey is nice.

PCH can be narrow with drop offs. You cannot pay toll on the GG. Either pay ahead, post pay or they will bill you. DO NOT take 101 through SF. Second right on to 19th ave and 6 miles to 280 stay in the middle lane.

Try and spend some time on the Oregon Coast - very nice - nice change from S Calif beaches (uncrowded) and some of the best State Parks in the nation. Google Painted Hllls - might be a nice day trip while your in Bend.

    Thanks!
