Santa Rosa NM to Carrizozo NM Hwy54
Heading to Ruidoso with 5th wheel in signature in a couple of weeks. Is 54 a reasonably good highway for towing? I realize there are not a lot of options but I have never gotten bad route advice here...

Piece of cake. I have taken it numerous times and not problems. Just watch your speed in the small towns since they are active in handing out speeding tickets. Never had a problem, but I stay close to the speed limit or below.
