Santa Rosa NM to Carrizozo NM Hwy54
Heading to Ruidoso with 5th wheel in signature in a couple of weeks. Is 54 a reasonably good highway for towing? I realize there are not a lot of options but I have never gotten bad route advice here...

I don't remember anything other than it being a very nice scenic drive which probably means it had lots of ups and downs as it went through the Lincoln National Forest.
...although almagordo can be a pain...
