Santa Rosa NM to Carrizozo NM Hwy54
Heading to Ruidoso with 5th wheel in signature in a couple of weeks. Is 54 a reasonably good highway for towing? I realize there are not a lot of options but I have never gotten bad route advice here...

Thanks Trailer traveler. We already had most of those earmarked but Fort Stanton will be added. It looks to be worth a stop. Just wish we could have more time down there. Neither of us retired yet so we cannot take more than a week in one stretch. 3 years n counting. :)
