No place you would want to be!

It's easy to hole up at an RV park during the week - I've done that. This time we'll be using hotels and if there's a part of Mexico that Nationals don't flock to I can afford the hotel and hole up there.

Go to Guadalajara or San Miguel, anywhere away from the beach, the people at the beach have to be from somewhere inland it seems logical...

I was at Basaseachic Falls Easter, 1999 and it was very busy.

Stay inland and you will be fine. Any beach is a Zoo.

Inland city folks go to the coast and some folks from the coast go inland.

Find a nice place to park and stay put, they all go bonkers to go some place other than home.

One of the best times I have had in Mexico was semana Santa at Roca azul. Tons for tenters from Guadalajara, many spoke some english.
I got invited to BBQ,s ,cardgames, etc. Its what you make of it. Just join them

And if you live on a beach in the USA, it's exactly the same.

We have gone and went again this year to Mexico City. No one there, quiet, no traffic and air quality is the best. We visited the museum of anthropology, Zocalo, art, Xochimilco, Bellas Artes, etc and the public transport is the best above or below ground. My brother and SIL may come this next one and we will give them a tour.

It's a great time to bus to México and visit the museum, Xohimilco, and the great pyramid. Folks who cannot afford to go to the beach run rampant everywhere else, so don't get your hopes up about finding anything inland "deserted". If there isn't a vast surplus of people, there will be six dozen radios and CD players all fighting each other for the title of db champion. If you are quiet, Mexicans will think you are sick, or dead.
