When in the bush I carry the following items: small 12" chain saw and all the stuff that goes with it, short handle spade shovel, a two inch wide 12' cloth sling, 30' feet of chain with hooks on each end, two shackles, ax, crow bar, work gloves.
All that stuff doesn't take up that much room either . I used to take a swede saw but then after one day on a logging road with a big tree in front of me, and about a 30 miles of back tracking I started packing my little chainsaw.
Not all the stuff I carry is needed when traveling in the bush, however sometimes your a long ways from help when all you need is one of the items Iisted .
In Saying that most of the places I talked about earlier are on roads that are traveled buy a lot of people Justine yup and are in reliatiy good shape, but never a bad thing to have all the equipment with you anyway
