X2 on Top of the World provincial park in southeast BC. We camped at the lake, enjoyed the undeveloped free hot spring, and walked in (several hours) to the park campground. We stayed two nights, using the day there to hike higher up to a fine mountain lake.
In northern BC the Heart Lake campsite in Pine-Lemoray provincial park is small and usually not full. There is a wonderful hike to Mountain Creek and up it in its canyon to a series of waterfalls. Mount Solitude behind the campsite and beside the canyon can be climbed and enjoyed in a full day - no special equipment or skill required but it is stamina challenging. There is a popular boon docking site about 20 km west in the Pine Pass with river, quading opportunities and a jeep trail 100 km long to Williston Lake behind the big Bennett Dam. Serious wilderness.
