I live in Alaska and have traveled the Alcan more times then I can count. The advice given is right. Get new tires on truck, make sure you have a good spare and keep the best used tire not mounted and bring with you. Same on trailer if your not sure have a good tire shop check them and spare. Bring a good used unmoumted for the trailer too. On your way up the Hiway every time you get fuel ask how far to the next fuel, don't get low on fuel your not in "MAYBERRY" any more. As tires go our family, kids, and grandkids 10 vehicles in all run Michelin LTX M/S year round. In the trucking business 43 years and Michelin never let us down. Have a good trip ,take your time and you'll do just fine.
