If you go with a trailer, you can get more clearance with an axle kit and you can add shocks and beefy tires. But I think a really beefy truck camper would be better on really bad dirt roads. We take our trailer off road in the US, but very slowly -- ten miles an hour max, while a truck camper can go much faster over major potholes, ruts, and rocks.
