You my want to reconsider 86, unless you don't mind shaking the fillings out of your teeth. I usually take 90 past Buffalo then drop down along the lakes into Watkins Glen or 80 east thru PA to I think it's route 15 north. Daughter lives in Ithaca, we stay in Watkins Glen.
