Three times to Alaska since 2008. Each time overall the roads were better. Generally the roads are likely to be far worse where you live.
Drive at a speed to suit road condition & all should be fine. Just because you are the only vehicle on the road does not mean you can do 60.
Thoroughly check & service everything before you go. Now is the time to check spring hangers, springs, spring mounting bushings, tires etc. There are huge distances between places where you can get service.
No, you are not going to the dark side of the moon but there are no McDonalds on every street corner either. In fact you go for hundreds of miles, even days, without seeing any McDonalds. Wonderful!
