Several of our friends who stay in Rocky Point (Puerto Penasco) every year in the past also said thay had never seen evidence of cartel activity in the area. Look what happened last month....a Rocky Point resort was shot up in a police raid to capture cartel hit men. Hundreds of rounds of ammunition were fired at one of the condos in the resort where many Americans were staying. Luckily the bad guys were hit and no civilians.
I'm guessing like the mobsters from the past in the US, the cartel will move from area to area to stay ahead of the authorities. Where will they hideout next.
