Hi Kevin: Nice to see you back in the forum. Although RV'rs are not likely to see any evidence of cartel activity it certainly does exist. I hope you were not implying that it does not exist. Most of us are not party animals and do not frequent "joints" where cartel members hang out but they certainly are there. I certainly agree that we are safe in Mexico. But I do not think the casual RV'r has returned to Mexico nor do I think they ever will. Nothing to do with fear. More to do with a new breed of younger RV'rs who expect more in the way of infrastructure than Mexico can provide: better roads, more CG's with decent facilities and less border hassles. Those who have travelled for years do not have those concerns but are getting older. When the "old guys" do not return there are no replacements. e.g. I am 70 and wonder how many more years I will be in Mexico?
