Iguana 07 - great post that really sums it all up. Businesses around Mexico and even here in Quintana Roo suffer from protection/extortion just like the old days in Chicago and other US cities. BUT, the attempt some make to attach these unfortunate truths to RVing is misplaced. Don't go looking for trouble and you will enjoy the country immensely.
