Truck Camping in Jasper and Banff in May

DW and I are considering truck camping in the Jasper-Banff area the first week in May. We are wondering what to expect in the way of weather, campgrounds open, hookups, etc. Are hiking trails likely to be useable? Also, what about opportunities for boondocking?

    Do a search for "Parks Canada Mountain Guide" and download the 40 page pdf. It has all the campgrounds, dates open, etc... and instructions about NOT boondocking.
