Continue using #Hwy5 to #Hwy46 or #Hwy166 back to #Hwy101 to/from central coast &amp; So Cal, safe travels."You should see the photo that accompanied this announcement.  It shows what looks like a backwoods swamp full of debris.  Hwy 101 is under that mess somewhere.Twitter link

they are going to have to repave because the boulders did a lot of damage. ssure wish they would repave the hwy south of vegas.  I swear they built in the pot holes when they made that road

Probably not any help for us RVers, but they are running shuttle boats around the blocked area, from Ventura to Santa Barbara according to this morning's paper.

Today (1-16-2018) they report it should take only another week before opening the road.
