US-95 between Las Vegas NV and Falon NV
I thought this was going to be a lonely road. There arent many towns along the way but there was a good amount of cars, RV's and trucks. The road surface most be the best in the nation

- In the future it will become I-11. Tnterstate 11 is a northwest-southeast Interstate Highway in the U.S. state of Nevada that currently follows U.S. Route 93 and US 95 between Boulder City and Henderson. It is tentatively planned to run from Nogales, Arizona, to Reno, Nevada, along the current routes of I-19, I-10, US 93 and US 95. The bulk of the route is still the early discussion and planning stages, an exact route has yet to be determined. A number of recommended corridor alternatives have been identified.

Nope, it was planned to avoid confusion when the interstates were being setup.
They stayed with the odd numbered highways N/S and even E/W, but purposely numbered the interstates west to east and south to north. And the original plan was that interstates would only be numbered in intervals of 10, but we have gone far beyond the original National Defense Highways.- Isn't it funny that US95 is on the West Coast and I95 is on the East coast... Roy Ken - I like Tonopah and Goldfield a lot. They are great places to stop and look around.
- Hey! You've got the huge military base in Hawthorn to look at, museums in Tonopah, bar in Goldfield, candy store in Beatty, sand dune/brothel in Amargosa Valley, predator drones flying over Indian Wells. What more could you ask for?(in addition to the glass smooth asphalt referenced by HPK!)
- The main road between Reno and Las Vegas. It is the most boring highway in the state except for counting wild donkeys.
