US-95
Any one been on US-95 between Vidal Junction and Needles lately and if so how is it for towing a big 5er? And what about taking 5 mile Rd from US-95 to I-40

Not sure about lately but 6 months ago the surface was fine. The road has narrow shoulders and few if any pullouts so stopping along the way is not recommended. I had a blowout and was in the sand on the passengers side changing the tire as the semi's rocked the 5er. Speeding seems the norm on that stretch.
You want to avoid filling up in Needles. There is a nice park on AZ 95 just north of the main junction in Parker if you need a pic nic area and dog walk with grass.
