Any one have any information on US HWY 54 from El Paso TX up to I-40 in NM it is a option to take vs going over to Las Cruces NM and picking up I-25 North. Ultimate destination is Loveland CO. Right...

It'll save some miles, but it'll take longer. The scenery is definitely much nicer. I'd take 54 unless a snowstorm is predicted.
