- dahkotaExplorerYou could tour the city at night though I wouldn't go walking around. The city is pretty at night and the traffic is much less - there are even places to park.
During the day it isn't worth trying. You're too tall for the parking garages and too long for the parking spaces.
Take metro - its much easier. - Rangerman40ExplorerYou'll never find a place to park. I couldn't even find a spot to park my dually at 8pm on a Sunday night.
- msmith1199Explorer IIIf you haven't already done so, set up a Uber and Lyft account. They would be great at a place like DC because you can do short rides for $6 to $10. You could find a place to park the RV and take Uber or Lyft to get around. The cost of the rides are probably cheaper than parking. And they can drop you off and pick you up right in front of where ever you want to go. I just recently started using them myself, but they work great. We took one from a Hotel in Orlando all the way out to Port Canaveral to a cruise ship. The Cruise company wanted $75 for 2 passengers on their crowded bus on their schedule. The Lyft cost me $80 including tip and we left when we wanted to leave. Same thing on the way back. Our friends who took the bus got off the ship and waited an hour and a half for their scheduled bus ride. We got off and were in a Lyft car in 10 minutes.
- coolmom42Explorer IIDon't even try to drive in DC. Take the Metro and Uber/Lyft. Much more fun. The Metro is part of the DC experience.

- Dennis12ExplorerGet yourself a couple pain pills and a half gallon of good liquor and go for it. NO definitely not. I did the same thing in down town NY in my Vegas and was 4 hours trying to get out. Once I got to where I was on the move I read a sign. NO PROPANE in tunnel and then another hour and a half to get to the George Washington Bridge. Please don't put yourself through that in DC. If you go Make sure you wear your swamp boots. He's not done with everyone yet.
- Pop-Pop_CExplorerThere is a park in college park ,MD. Cherry hill. Bus picks you up at the park, and takes you to,the train station, takes you right into DC. Was there two years ago. Perfect.
- AtleeExplorer II+1. Best way to do Washington if you have an RV.
