Whistlers at Jasper--no tow vehicles allowed?

I've been trying to book a site at Whistlers for my trailer and truck, but every one I've found says "no tow vehicles allowed." Never mind it's okay if you have a 35 foot motorhome towing a toad--that's okay. Does anybody know a reason for this craziness?
  • If this is the one by Jasper, we stayed there last year with no reservations. We had a truck and 27 ft trailer. We were lucky to get in. It filled up. We could only get dry camping.
  • Is this what you are looking at?

    Maximum Vehicles per Site:
    1 vehicle

Exceptions for RVs towing a vehicle

If you have two camping units (2 tents or 1 RV/camper and 1 tent), no towed vehicles are allowed.

It is confusing, but I think that they are only referring to anything that is powered a vehicle. So a truck & trailer is only one vehicle, hence the exception for an RV (motorhome) towing a vehicle.
  • All their pictures show trailers with tow vehicles. Maybe It is a new stupid rule.
