World's best pizza and cheesecake in Manhattan?

Hello. We are planning on spending a few days in Manhattan and, as usual, we are on the hunt for the world's best pizza and the world's best cheesecake and we are hoping that they might be somewhere in Manhattan. Any suggestions?

  • John's Pizza on Bleeker in Greenwich Village. Woody Allen's favorite joint. That place changed my life -- after going there, I swore I would learn to make wood fired pizza at home, and I did, and I gained 20 pounds. Thin crust, buffalo mozzarella, fresh basil.

Very tough to find parking for the RV, though. ;)
  • Best pizza is found in Chicago. Best cheesecake is found in California. New York is great for bagels.
  • You may find cheesecake, but for pizza? You're looking about 800 miles too far east! :p
    :B
  • No, the world's best is not in Manhattan. :D Just kidding!

  • We really like this joint, but you can't go wrong walking the streets of Little Italy and let your nose be your guide!

    Lombardi's

Enjoy the city, we love visiting there.
  • Gonna have to get closer to Hell's Kitchen, so I've heard: Don Antonio by Starita, 309 W 50th St, New York, NY .....
