There is a struggle between local fishermen (most of el Golfo) and the newly enforced rules regarding fishing methods so as to stop the killing of the endangered Totoaba fish as well as the porpoise like Vaquita Marina. Their protest is a small problem overall but can take time for you to get through depending on the time of day. I would take 8 from Yuma to Gila Bend and shoot down through Lukeville just to be on the sure side of things
