Zion to Monument Vally to Albuquerque to Kansas to Nashville

Going from St. George Utah to Monument Valley (drycamp at Gooseneck SP), with a few days in Albuquerque before heading up northeast of Topeka Kansas (college visit). From there, heading south to Branson, Missouri for a few days and then to Nashville.

32' Class C in late April - route suggestions? routes to avoid? must see? Was going to just follow google maps, but thought I'd check here first.
  • “Gooseneck State Park (UT) on that tribal list?”

GSP is not a Navajo Nation park and therefore not on the Nation’s list. OP indicated he wished to travel to Monument Valley which I believe is closed. Please clarify if you believe MV is open.

No it is a State Park $5.00 (?) per night dry camping. Free dry camping at Valley of Gods.

Thanks. I know. I was just trying to figure out what Lwiddis' point was.

Are you pulling a toad? Reason I ask there is maximum length going out east entrance of Zion. I believe it is 50 feet.
You could go east from St. George and use the east entrance on UT 9 to US 89. US 89 to US 160 near Tuba City, AZ.
You would need oversize permit to go out east entrance. Need to watch curves and narrow road in park.

In 2018 the tunnel was alternating one way for all traffic. We dry camped about 5 miles east of the entrance and drove the truck into Zion. We did see a number of RV use the tunnel without any special pass. You may want to check.

ALL parking is FULL in Zion by 9:00 AM

  • Isn’t the Navaho Nation closed with no reopening date set?
