KOAs are not usually 100 per night, we stay at them all the time, We did call, we do know how to ensure They have space for us.
We never suspected KOA to blind side us with these prices.
So you failed to check the price and are upset that they didn't call you last week to tell you, just in case you happened to be driving by and decided to stop this week? - RayJaycoExplorer

Show us how to do that at while driving?
When I pull in off the road I don't expect to be blind sided with exorbitant prices.
KOA has an easy to use app that shows the site prices and availability, as well as accepting reservations. And I just looked up the Leavenworth, WA KOA on the RV Parky app and knew the site price range in about 10 seconds. My wife does those sorts of lookups routinely while I'm driving... - MEXICOWANDERERExplorerJust for drill these days how much does it cost to stay in a National Park? Or near one? Like in Yosemite Valley or West Yellowstone?
From what I understand the Caribbean sites in Yucatan are 50 dollars plus for 1st row. And few facilities have room for 40+' rigs and then no provisions for 50-amp service and bleaching then using onboard water is highly recommended over using direct hosing.
As citizen travelers all know down here la Republica has some of the best deals on thrifty priced facilities and some of the worst deals on their pricier counterparts. The seaweed is piled high on fifty dollar beaches which means counting flies and mosquitoes within a cubic meter. So the anomaly isn't purely American.
It seems like every building ten years old or greater has thirty coats of paint. One for every business who moved in then out. Flat busted. As a failing business declines their prices go UP.
Business is a fickle entity. Chevron found out rapidly down here that to not post fuel prices seen from the street is a death knell. The book of failed business has three chapters in the states.

13 - ktmrfsExplorer IIgiven all the popular events at leavenworth WA, the cost of a campsite is going to be high. the KOA in Leavenworth isn't my favorite, but it's close to town. We have another place we stay, RV park, but it is pretty spendy as well, especially during Oktoberfest time. Limited number of choice and LOTS of people. Capitalism at work. Most of the places also have regular buses to town, along with other stuff. It's really Glamping. Check out hotel prices sometime!
Make reservations a year in advance at some of the RV parks in Leavenworth ad prices are lower. - rk911Explorerwasn't just referring to you or any single individual...just the overall anti-KOA sentiment in the RV forums.

They have these amazing things called cell phones. With one, you can actually contact the park personnel and ask them the rate before you arrive. Failing that, you can inquire as to the rate at the reservation desk before agreeing to rent a site. Should it exceed your expectations, you are within your rights to go elsewhere. If you feel burned, you need to realize you lit the match and supplied all the fuel.westernrvparkowner wrote:

i don't understand all the anti-KOA rhetoric. you don't want to patronize KOA then don't. move on.
We stayed at 3 different KOAs over the last 4 weeks, all except this one was 35-40 per night, full hook ups.
Its isn't KOA it is this one camp - westernrvparkowExplorer
