- Dutch_12078Explorer IINY's Wellesley Island State Park is very popular in that area. They have 53 full hook up sites (Fox Area - F), but reserve early for the best selection.
- mdcampingExplorerOn the canadian side, check out https://stlaw.usedirect.com/StLawHome/Facilities/SearchView.aspx Ivy Lea Campground. W/E sites only, no sewer. Booking just opened today, as we booked for this coming Aug. http://www.rvparkreviews.com/regions/ontario/lansdowne/ivy-lea-campground-parks-of-the-st-lawrence-250473
Mike - ACZLExplorerSwan Bay RV Resort in Alex Bay NY is 3 years old. Concrete pads, full hook ups but no cable (haven't figured this one out yet). 1 pool and snack/bar area, adding more sites and another pool. Right on the river. Supermarket next door. Down town A-bay is couple miles away. Think owner is holding '18 prices at '17 levels---$75.00/nite. Big rig friendly. Area by pool is a tad tight for my liking. Right off I-81.
- JoeHExplorer IIIWe stayed at Merry Knoll CG a few years ago. FHU and great people running the place. Nice views of the river too
- zigzagrvExplorerA bit further away from Alex Bay and the river is Association Island on Lake Ontario. PULL-IN sites so you are facing the lake. Gorgeous views and full hookups.
- sptddogExplorerI just saw an ad for a KOA up that way that looked great. Wellesley Island Park was amazingly beautiful - we drove through but couldn't get a site there. We stayed at Merry Knoll - the view of the river and boats (and sunset) was fantastic, but it was a tight fit getting to the site. Quiet campground, well maintained, but small.
